Running Summary August 2021

I did not run in August 2021 because of a stress fracture of my pelvis, which is slowly healing.


I continued my slow recovery from what I believe is a stress fracture of the pelvis. My pain was fairly mild and not disabling, and it was decreasing little by little during the month.

I did very little walking for the first three weeks of August, after which I increased my walking. I began taking calcium carbonate and vitamin D3 supplements, hoping that they might aid bone formation.

Late in the month I was able to wear my Merrell Alpine Sneakers, which were causing me pelvic discomfort in July. I still experienced mild discomfort when doing Pilates the last week of August.

I am waiting for fourteen days of no pain or discomfort before I begin running again.
